About our Cows

All of our cows have been raised and bred on our farm. When they are of milking age, our cows are put into a intensive rotational grazing system. This allows the cows to be on pasture as much as possible and allows for us, as stewards of the land, to manage our pastures better. In the winter and even in the summer they are fed hay, haylage, and corn to ensure the best quality milk and a healthy herd of cows. Our emphasis on hay and intensive grazing helps to reduce the use of antibiotics and minimizes the impact on the farm’s land and the environment.

We do not use rBST (a bovine growth hormone administered to increase milk production). We feel this reduces herd health problems.
